We can provide assistance to find or maintain employment.
At phoenix we have several Supported Employees working in either our in-house Café or in our Gardening/ Lawn Maintenance Work Crew.
We can help you develop the skills required to successfully gain employment in your chosen field and provide Support in your desired workplace to help you reach your employment goals.
Through SLES (School Leavers Employment Scheme) our focus is on helping young people with a disability, who are leaving school gain the experience and skills they need to transition smoothly into employment.
PHOENIX WORK CREW
The Phoenix Work Crew project supports the creation of job opportunities in the Nambucca Valley, reduces social isolation and fosters stronger, more resilient rural and regional communities by enabling people to develop skills, knowledge, and confidence to contribute to the prosperity of our region.
The work crew offers employment and training to people with disability or experiencing disadvantage such as long-term unemployment and mental health. NVP is a Centrelink approved volunteer organisation and a Work Order Development Sponsor. Employment (paid and unpaid) and training at NVP provides for the social-emotional wellbeing of people entering the workforce, many for the first time or re-entering the workforce after long absences.
The crew offers:
Lawn mowing Service
General Gardening
weeding
Pruning
Rubbish Removal
NDIS, Aged Care & DVA packages are
accepted as payment.
You can also join the crew with your NDIS package or if you need to do volunteer work, we are Centrelink registered.
